LTTE Terrorists and Funding

Why it’s important to highlight the facts?
Donating money to LTTE terrorists knowing the facts and donating money under threat or by force is two different issues.

1. How do you know that the people donate to LTTE terrorists really know the fact of where the children and families of LTTE terrorist leaders are and who is funding them?
2. What if the people who listen to LTTE stories and donate does not know the fact of not having proper accounting and auditing process for the money they donate and no way to verify who take the funds and how they utilize the funds?
3. What if the person who donate believes that the funds goes to the people effected by Tsunami without knowing some middle man is pocketing it as commissions for smuggling arms to LTTE terrorists?

So that is why it is important for the international community to highlight these issues. Those who support LTTE terrorists will anyway donate money. But we all know it is a minority and most of them do not know the real picture of what LTTE does with funds other than the reports they read from the proLTTE news website Tamilnet.

The other part of your comments about the LTTE terrorists not interested on having a peaceful solution and funding terrorism is totally correct.
The problem now for LTTE terrorists is to find a way out of fighting other Tamil groups such as Karuna’s group, EPDP group and other breakaway groups who are becoming stronger in different areas. That is why they are begging from the Sri Lankan government to disarm other groups except for them.

Why they still demand for a Tamil Homeland?
Without eliminating other tamil groups LTTE terrorists can not agree on any power sharing solution. Remember, other tamil groups are the majority. They really represent the tamil community in Sri Lanka for decades such as Mr. Thondaman’s group, Chandrasekaran’s group etc and they can influence any tamil vote more than the LTTE terrorists. If LTTE terrorists agree on any democratic solution, they know that will be the end result.
That is the reason for keep on demanding for a tamil homeland that they all know will never become a reality. They can not agree on any democratic solution.
