US, SLMM, Norway and all other International peace groups are typing the same bloody statement. I expected a much realistic Vesak Message from this group of players.

Stop your bullshit. BAN LTTE first. You show your restraint first. Everyday they kill so many people. Still we are waiting and you are counting. Yes, Waiting, Waiting, Waiting..
For the sake of true peace in this country, lets hope some of your own officers to get killed by them… yes by mistake.. Then we will see your restraint and your sympathy towards LTTE terrorism.

Since the military personal getting killed everyday are not high ranking officers..who cares! just show restraint..lets try to cut another round of peace talks.. right?

“It is with a profound sense of devotion that I send this message, on the occasion of the 2550th Buddha Jayanthi. Vesak Full Moon Day is the most precious day for Buddhist world over, since it marks the Birth, Enlightenment and the Passing Away of the Lord Buddha.

The transcendental teaching of the Buddha, upholds that the mind is the precursor of all deeds and even peace as well as war evolves in the mind. Therefore, peace and solidarity too originates in the mind of mankind.

Today the entire world appears to be at loggerheads and at the brink of war. As such the teaching of the Enlightened One is of unrivalled importance, particularly in the present era since it exhorts the mankind that all those who wage war are destined to downfall and ultimate destruction. It also teaches us the futility of hatred and atrocities.

If the sublime doctrine of the Buddha is understood and followed the present day world could be converted to one of a peaceful and tranquil place where loving-kindness reigns. What is most needed today is to follow the five precepts, taught by the Buddha practically in our day to day life.

The objective of celebrating the 2550th Buddha Jayanthi shall be to observe the five precepts and abstain from all undesirable deeds so that we may march towards a conflict-free world.

As a first step towards such a destination my government has censored the consumption of liquor and meat during this most precious period of Vesak.

So let all of us determine, on this most sublime day to deviate from sinful deeds and practice the five precepts. May the blessings of the Triple Gem, be on all of us."

Janapathi.. you are out of your mind today.. How can you so sarcastically say that we have a war in Sri Lanka?.. Look.. no suicide bombs in Colombo except the recent one. That too is a conspiracy.. still the investigation is going on..until proven ..no one is guilty.. democracy.

Now let's take the positive side of it.. thanks to that bomb..FIRST time we found out that the international media is promoting LTTE terrorist news. That’s more serious than the war. More than the suicide bomb, world was talking about the ‘genocide’ of Tamils in Sri Lanka.
Shame on the media for not thanking us for leaving the TNA MPs alive in our parliament for future artifacts, before eliminating the rest..
Now we do not have any tamil living in colombo thanks to the ‘genocide’ and the ‘systematic killings’.. So no more Sirasa TV show …Janapathi cooking ‘kiri bath’ on Awrudu day.. no more.. AIYO!!!
