LTTE, Are they Terrorists or freedom fighters?

Despite their support amongst some Tamils, the LTTE is accused of terrorism. It is proscribed as a terrorist organisation by several countries, including USA, Canada, Britain, India, Australia and Malaysia, and LTTE delegations are barred from the European Union. Sri Lanka itself has lifted its ban on the LTTE to facilitate peaceful negotiations.

Part of the reason for the accusation is its targetted assassination of political figures and non-military officials, and its use of suicide bombers. Between 1991 and 1994, it was responsible for killing Rajiv Gandhi, Lalith Athulathmudali, Ranasinghe Premadasa and Gamini Dissanayake. It has also murdered moderate Tamils and other Tamils with whose views it disagrees. The LTTE is suspected of involvement in the assassinations of Appapillai Amirthalingam, Neelan Tiruchelvam, Sarojini Yogeswaran, Pon Sivapalan, Lakshman Kadirgamar and others, even though it officially denies involvement in several of these. The LTTE has also brutally massacred other Tamil militant groups, most notably the TELO, whose leadership and cadre were killed by the LTTE in May 1986. In addition, the LTTE's bombing attacks have caused a large number of civilian casualties and, in instances such as the attack on the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, Dehiwala train or the Central Bank in Colombo, did not have any military target.

The LTTE's supporters justify these attacks by saying that the people assassinated are either "Tamil traitors" or persons closely associated with the Sri Lankan military action. Specifically in relation to the TELO, the LTTE has said that it had to attack them because the TELO was in effect functioning as a proxy for India. They also draw comparisons between the casualties caused by the LTTE's actions and the actions of European resistance forces against Nazi occupation during the Second World War.

Address the terrorists in a language they understand

|| Features: "Address the terrorists in a language they understand

Author: A.A.M. NIZAM Published in : Daily News (28/04/2006)

SUICIDE ATTACK: The 243rd suicide bomb attack carried out by the world's most ruthless terrorist organisation - the LTTE - aiming to eliminate Army Commander Lt. Gen. Sarath Fonseka, and reported attempts being made to attack the Trincomalee Naval Base has compelled the Sri Lankan Air Force to attack the terrorist camp in Sampur, Trincomalee inflicting heavy damages to the terrorists.

Immediately after the suicide attack Terrorist Intelligence Chief Pottu Amman's website 'Tamileditors' flashed in bold letters "Sarath Fonseka has been seriously injured in a bomb blast in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo."

This flash was captioned "mass murderer seriously injured". It also said, that "all five of his bodyguards were killed on site".

In its despicable customary manner the terrorist outfit would certainly deny its involvement in this suicide expedition and it would be followed by supportive statements from their sanitizers, the Norwegians, the SLMM and the dollar worshipping Sinhala peace merchants trying to implicate responsibility of this heinous crime on an imaginary third party as it had done in many previous occasions.

Commander Fonseka, a great and fearless son of Sri Lanka was the terrorist outfit's most hated and despised person in the Sri Lankan security establishment.

The terrorist outfit's hatred towards Commander Fonseka is very deep-seated.

During the two dark years of terrorist appeasement under the premiership of Ranil Wickremesinghe it was Lt. Gen. Fonseka who had the guts, and a true Sri Lankan mettle to stand against implementation of steps urged by the terrorist outfit to endanger the safety of our Security Forces and the sovereignty of the nation.

He stood firmly against trimming the areas of the High Security Zones that could endanger and expose the Palaly airbase, KKS harbour and the lives of Security Forces members to terrorist artillery.
Peace merchants

A five-page secret document titled 'De-escalation plan' submitted by Fonseka, who was a Maj. General at that time, called for disarming the terrorists and decommissioning of their long-range weapons in return for re-settlement of displaced persons in the High Security Zone.

The Wickremesinghe Government attempted to evade his patriotic recommendations by bringing down Lt. Gen. Nambiar of India to report on the issue and the Indian General also accepted the validity of Gen. Fonseka's recommendations, and fully endorsed it.

Thus, Sri Lanka fortunately was able to avoid the Palaly airbase, KKS naval base and the precious lives of 40,000 Security Forces stationed in the peninsula falling into the hands of the terrorist outfit.

It also helped to put a stop to drastically reducing the number of army camps in the peninsula, though the Wickremesinghe Government reduced the number of camps to 88 from the original number of 152.

Gen. Fonseka's appointment as Commander of the Army from December 6, 2005 was unpalatable not only to the terrorist outfit but also to the dollar hungry Sinhala peace merchants, who are being paid sumptuously to prolong the peace facade and enable the terrorist outfit to gain strength militarily, economically and diplomatically.

These "peace merchants" castigated him as a warmongering hardliner, and continued to refer to him with this appellation whenever they made any mention about him.

In an interview given to Daily Mirror (10.12.2005) Commander Fonseka admitted that the terrorists have improved their firepower since the truce.

He said his priority would be to change tactics and equipment as part of a long-term plan to modernise the Army. He disclosed that the LTTE has emerged as a powerful force mainly because the Government failed to control the terrorist activities.

Referring to the ignominious CFA Commander Fonseka rightly pointed out in this interview that there are many loopholes in the Ceasefire Agreement and the LTTE has gained from it and hence it should be reviewed.

He said that before the signing of the CFA, the Tigers were not in a position to continue with the war, mentally or militarily, but the CFA had helped them to improve their firepower. In true spirit of a patriot he also declared that he has a lot of battlefield experience with the LTTE and they won't judge him as a weak man. He said he hopes to be a challenge to any terrorist activity in the country and indeed, he wants to be a challenge.
Shadow war

The restraint shown by the Government amidst the continued shadow war carried out by the terrorists murdering hundreds of Security Forces personnel and the innocent citizens had surpassed all tolerable limitations. The time has dawn for the Government to be firm with this murderous gang, militarily, economically and internationally.

The Government must use its constitutional right to thwart all attempts being made by these murderers as it was done at Sampur. At the same time following measurers should also be taken to liberate the areas and the innocent people held under the jackboots of this gang.

* Intensify the propaganda campaign throughout the world to expose the atrocities and the ruthless nature of this gang who are linked to Al Qaida and provide arms procurement, training, drug trafficking and money laundering facilities to other leading terrorist organisations in the world.

* Call upon all friendly countries to help Sri Lanka to put an end to three decades of terrorist atrocities.

* Declare the occupational areas as a war zone and urge peace loving residents to move out from these areas.

* Disconnect electricity, water and other supplies to these areas, for which the Government spends heavily.

* Halt transport of petrol, diesel, kerosene and other material that may sustain the terrorist murderers.

* Restrict all South Indian fishing boats entering to the Sri Lankan territory which are only supply convoys disguised as fishing boats.

* Instruct all INGOs and NGOs operating in the occupation area by foreigners to leave the area within a reasonable time frame.

* Bombard strategic military and naval targets and the illegal airstrip making them ineffective and thwart all possible action they could take against the Government Forces.

* Declare an amnesty to all terrorists who surrender to the Security Forces along with their weapons.

As the terrorist outfit does not understand the meaning of peace and what they believe as peace is a right granted to them for bullying and killing the Government Forces and the innocent population, the only alternative available for the Government is to address it in the own language of the terrorist outfit.

Discrimination against Tamils in Sri Lanka

For those who really want to see discrimination and poor state of tamils live, please go and have a look at Tamilnadu India. Isn’t that discrimination? If not, what do you call that?
Let me give one good example..
When the North of India adopt state politics by not allowing water to flow to south and when people live without access to drinking water, what do you call that?

These days we can see thousands of NGO’s operating in the north of sri lanka who are surviving by this war. If no war, no jobs, no funds for them. Who in this world would decide on operating child rehabilitation centers within a territory controlled by a group of terrorists who recruit child soldiers to protect their own asses? Do you get my point?

I suggest these NGO’s to go and land on where Tamils really live and get thrashed from northern indian politics (now) and were treated like stray cats and stray dogs in the past.
They really need NGO’s and sympathizers like what we get in North to at least have some access to drinking water. No matter what you talk or think still the majority of LTTE terrorist occupied areas and terrorists themselves use government electricity grid, telecom lines, the roads we built and everything what we have developed before they started to destroy everything.
What have they done to Tamils live in North other than recruiting kids and put them to front lines to get killed and using innocent people as the cover? Tell us a single good thing LTTE has done for its community over the years without any help from a controversial NGO or helping a family destroyed by this war that they started. Let's talk facts.

Sri Lankan Myths and Obstacles for Development

Developing Sri Lanka is the theme of our politicians when it comes closer to elections. Other than the documented million dollar development plans and feasibility studies, nothing had turned in to reality. While driving around, listening to various ongoing discussions during last couple of weeks, I was thinking about the reasons for this. Why the things are not moving towards a direction similar to other developing countries like China, Brasil and India. We all talk about the problems and solutions. So let’s start to talk about the myths and bad habits..

Myths

1. War is slowing things down
What has happened during the last 2 years? In my opinion nothing has developed in our country during this period? I feel that we have completed more projects and more development work during the time of JR and Premadasa (one way or another) while funding a war.
Things have reversed after the war. Compare the defense budget then and now?

2. Politics and Politicians
This is another myth. Politics is not an issue for basic development. I agree that it’s an issue for a country to develop similar to Singapore with a long term vision. But for us, I am talking of basics such as garbage disposal, electricity, good roads, good schools, good hospitals and housing. No need to formulate a long term vision for this kind of short term, can do projects.
Politics is not the reason for where we are today.

3. Not enough funds
We have enough funds provided we adopt a system of “do it right first time” concept. No country will have money to redo the same road over and over again in every 2 years time. So the issue is utilization of funds and it has nothing to do with not having enough funds.

4. Economic Growth = Economic Development
I know many people know the difference. Too bad that we are keep on talking of an Economic Growth each quarter without having measures to report the economic development in each quarter.

5. Unemployment
This is not an issue to make good roads, have good schools, hospitals etc. These projects have a chain effect and when projects gets started things will improve across all sectors.

Bad habits

Laziness
In my opinion the biggest obstacle for development in my country is “Laziness” of people. Many people go behind finding quick money instead of working. From the Passport checking counter at the Airport to government departments you can see at least 1:10 of Worker : Supervisor ratio. For example, it’s a very common sign to see many officers standing behind passport counters talking with each other, without trying to clear the lines at the airport. Similarly, you will see so many people wearing sarongs, talking near markets, spitting around and wasting time. Try to find a housemaid, driver or a person to fix some small thing at your house. It’s impossible. Unless it’s a big contract, no one is interested in Rs 100-300 jobs. Instead they prefer to kill time, hang around roads or now even to rob someone elses money.

Waste
I have noticed the huge amount of waste from households to companies in Sri Lanka. Everything we build and then break or purchased and not used is a waste. No one seems to realize this fact. Count the number of electrical/electronic items at your house that no one uses or occasional use. Count the number of lights, fans switched on. Observe the amount of roads they dig to re-do pipe lines, telephone lines. All this is money that could have shifted for productive development. Forgot.. go and open the fridge and see the amount of expired food in it and the excess food throw away everyday.
More on this. What about the public property destroyed by people. Sit on a private bus and see the state of its seats. Observe the bus stands. Estimate the cost of repairing the damage done by people instead of pointing fingers at someone else for not keeping things clean and tidy.

No need to read 7 Habits.
Practicing the above 2 habits and getting rid of the above 5 Myths at all levels will put our country on the right track.

genocide of Tamils in Trincomalee

genocide of Tamils in Trincomalee

genocide of Tamils History
Wanna know the details of this genocide? Then have a look at the above link.
How come government can protect the few terrorist leaders? Karuna is hunting them one by one. At the end of the day, Karuna is one of their creations. So what? Are we responsible now?

If they want to be safe, then LTTE terrorist leaders should decide on disarming themselves and face the justice so that at least they can have some assurance of safety under international laws to protect the lives of those who are on trial. Otherwise, they can cry like this, lick white asses few more months begging for mercy. Like I always say, time will solve this problem.. lets wait till they eat each other.

Tigers may fly in own plane to Male from Iranaimadhu

ha ha ha.. very funny.. let the buggers fly.. not only to Male.. straight to Norway. Let's see how US, India going to react to this. Terrorists having access to unregistered Air crafts (hand crafts) and using international airspace.. I totally agree with some of the comments in this article. This bunch of terrorists should have thousands of reasons to get scared. How many innocent people they must have killed? How many enemies they have. Just forget south of Sri Lanka. What about the international terrorist rings, south Indian rings, Karuna links and let’s not forget about the god waiting to punish them for the crimes they have committed...
Let them fly.. I hope no one will stop them or object to this move. Let them fly all the way to Norway and let the engines fail. Accoring to terrorist Balasingham, they have a very strong air power. So we have to be scared. Kiss my ass..

Time is the only solution

Crying like babies.. Hey Selvam boy.. I thought you said that you will resume war if not the govt disarm other arm groups leaving you and your gang with arms. So tell us… how many people you have killed during the past? You mean to say your group is not a paramilitary group and never killed any innocent people.. I am sure Norway must have thought when you say to disarm paramilitary groups, you were talking of your own group. If you terrorists do not want to talk..I do not think anyone will have any effect. The international community thinks that the peace talks are to protect your own asses.
BTW, How was the last trip? Flying through the Sri Lankan Airport with the Sri Lankan passport must have given you a real good feeling? Why not thank the government for protecting you and your terrorist gang from other various groups and for not arresting during your trip, instead crying like this..
You won't get any homeland. This is Sri Lanka and it belongs to all Sri Lankans. If you want a tamil homeland, go back to Tamilnadu and try your luck. After your generation vanish from this world, we all can peacefully solve this issue and live happily without killing each other.
Time is the only solution for this problem. Nothing else.

We are coming to arrest you.. please stay home!

Latest! Sports Minister Jeewan Kumaratunga and his human smuggling racket

If CID has facts, then why don’t they go and arrest him and put the fellow in jail like the way CBK did for SB? Issuing statements like this is similar to sending a notice to a thief asking him to stay home before the arrest.
What if he was shooting a movie..and this is not real?

All Sri Lankan MP's are infected with Gonorrhea

Disclose and Ban all ‘Lapai Sipai’ NGO's in Sri Lanka

Unbelievable how they have come up with this number? 100,000 prostitutes in Sri Lanka! Instead they should have counted the number of child soldiers in the north of sri lanka. I have seen this kind of small NGO’s issuing such controversial reports in order to maintain the fund flow from western countries.
First thing anyone should ask is, how independent this report is? Who are these people working for this NGO to issue such a report?
I do not have any issue with NGO’s.. but allowing every ‘lapai sipai’ to form NGOs and become consultants could cause grave dangers to the reputation of a country. Specially after the tsunami some Amarapala's in south had formed NGOs to fund their luxury living and in the North some Selvami's are using NGOs to fund their families living in western countries and to build condominiums in Colombo.

I think the government should start investigating all these 'Lapai Sipai' NGO’s and make a regulatary framework to report all funds and how they have spent them. Also from where they have purchased the so called doctorates and what qualifications they have to issue such reports.

Otherwise in very near future I am going to form the Lankapolitics NGO saying "Almost all Sri Lankan MP's are infected with Gonorrhea".

Tamils wins Landslide in Sri Lanka local polls

Tamil Canadian Services: Tamil Eelam

Did they allow any other party to go and campaign in LTTE terrorist controlled areas? What if we did the same in Nuwaraeliya and other tamil dominated areas in south? That is why I always say no discrimination against the tamils in south of sri lanka similar to what is going on in the north of Sri Lanka. If any discrimination against tamils in south, then how the hell Tamil parties got so many votes in this elections?

This election results is an indicator of the discrimination against sinhalese and those who oppose LTTE terrorists in the north of Sri Lanka. Also this proves the dictatorship of LTTE terrorist network led by the terrorist leader Prabhakaran and also shows the pathetic state of the Sri Lankan government and the opposition who has become 2nd citizens on it's own country. Also the governments inability to conduct free and fair elections in the north of Sri Lanka and protect the innocent tamil people living under LTTE terrorist control areas.
